Snake Davis with Sumudu

Raised in Scunthorpe, now London-based, Sumudu has been a natural performer from a young age, singing, playing guitar and piano and writing songs.

She made her TV debut on BBC’s Pebble Mill at One at the age of 15, performing her own composition, accompanied by Snake on sax and flute… Their next meeting was when they both took part in a mega concert with Burt Bacharach and Hal David at the Royal Albert Hall. She now enjoys a successful career releasing and performing her own music, often touring with Van Morrison and working as a session musician for big stars and on film scores.

These days Sumudu and Snake often meet playing with Jools Holland’s R+B orchestra or, even better, performing as a duo in Arts Centres. Expect classic pop, some original compositions and a touch of soul and jazz.
