The Blue Moon Band
The Blue Moon is a vintage Rock’n’Roll band from the Watford, UK (the home of Rock’n’Roll, we’re sure you’ll agree!) the band have been playing sweaty pubs, festivals and even a few European bar tours to learn from audience reactions in readiness for their album. In 2024 the band were able to make the trip to Chem19 studios in Glasgow to record the tracks live with Jamie Savage (Twilight Sad, King Creosote). A huge hand was given by friend, musician and composer Andy Bruce (Kathyrn Williams, Michelle Stodart) who wrote the horns, and Jim Barne on backing vocals. They aimed to create a set of tunes that represent the band’s ‘live show energy’, combining driving soul grooves and powerful, uplifting choruses. This completed they are now back on the road to promote this new material.
